continue to pray

hello to everyone. i hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.we spent yesterday on the lake fishing. we caught about 7 nice sized catfish. we got home late. we both wanted to go and get something to eat, and just come home and crash.
i would like for everyone to continue to pray for my friend, april, and her husband, wayne. they were the ones in the motorcycle accident. they both are recovering, but it is taking some time,and i spent some time with them today.i would really desire everyone's prayers, for them both. he has a bleed on his brain and it is causing a lot of confusion now for him. please pray for him and april, that they will heal properly. we all want the LORD'S will for them.
i hope everyone continues to enjoy their weekend and this beautiful weather we have been having.

feeling really blessed

hi and welcome. i hope everyone has had a good week so far, and enjoyed their memorial holiday.we had a great weekend. we both enjoyed some time off together. we had to work on memorial day.we grilled out for supper.
i feel real blessed and so thankful for all of the veterans who served our country for us and have fought for our freedom. some of my own family have served, and my father in law was in vietnam. he suffered great problems because of that. i am thankful for him and for him serving in the army.
one of my good friends and her husband were involved in a terrible motorcycle crash on monday morning.please pray for them both. the LORD spared their lives, and it is a miracle they are alive. he recieved a skull fracture and some fractures to his nose and hands, and he has some bleeding on the brain, but he is doing much better.she just had some places on her face, and she had to get some stiches, and she is bruised and is sore. thank the LORD she did not have any more injuries.the LORD knows why and how this happened and we are just thankful they are alive and HE was and is so good. we are just so blessed, everyday!!! love ya, april and wayne HE will make this trial a blessing for yall...
i hope you enjoy these pretty days. today, here it has been cloudy and we have had some showers, my garden needs it though.. hope ya havee a blessed day, and count your many blessings GOD has given you today.

grilled chicken and a storm

today,i stayed home and got caught up on my housework. we had supper tonight. i prepared grilled chicken, roasted garlic potatoes, corn, and biscuits. we also had a storm... a bad thunderstorm. the guys had 2 calls. they came back and we ate.last night, it was a full moon. i shot several pictures. on the first picture, i had my camera on a different setting, and when i shot the pic, the moon kind of looked like a heart.... i thought that was interesting, lol!!!! it was really pretty.have a great night.

this morning, we decided to take the boat out for some fishing. we both were off today. it was such a beautiful day, we needed to stay at home and get some much needed housework done, but resisted that, and decided those fish needed some.. well.. attention...lol!!!
after a quick bite of breakfast, we traveled to a nearby lake. we fished for about 5 hours. i caught 4, chris caught 1... yes, i won today.:). it was kind of windy at first, but turned out to be a warm, sunny, day.
after fishing, we went for lunch/supper combined. we had ribs and chicken from one of our favorite places, t-bones, on the lake. we always love to eat there. we came home and rushed home because we had bluegrass practice. we have had a busy,fun, and great day.

the anchor holds

this weekend was real fun and busy. last night, we had our annual sigma banquet held in may every year. the theme this year was '' the anchor holds''. the fellowship building was an underwater theme. we had a ship, and caves, coral, and fish, dolphins, whales, and shark. we had a great time.this is the big ship.

this is me and my sweetie. i have more pics, i am going to make a slideshow. i just have been so busy, i just have not had a lot of time to download all of them.we had a catered meal of all types of fish, and trimmings, along with calabash chicken.we had a great year in sigma.we had a great team,and all 3 seniors are on our team. we love all of the teens.

a restful wednesday

hi, and welcome to hump day. today is wednesday, but it is also rest day also for me. i had to work monday and tuesday. i am off today. my mom called this am and wanted me to go to lunch with her and my sister, but i really did not feel like going. i was really tired. my house really needed my attention, i needed to do laundry, load the dishwasher, and all of the other things, but i did not!! i really just kind of took it easy all day, i did have to go to the store for 1 thing, but was back home in no time.
tommorow, my friend, michelle will be having surgery. please pray for her. she is scared, but i know the LORD is going to bring her through it and HIS will is going to be done.
tonight, we had a good service at church. bro. johnny preached, pastor is in revival. i wish you a great night, and sleep well.

happy mother's day to everyone! i hope yall had some time with your mother today or sometime this weekend.we had a cookout last night at my mother-in-law's home. the whole family came. we had a nice time fellowshipping with each other.

today, we had a great day in church. we had good services both am and pm. we went to my aunt's home today for a lunch. my family came.my grandmother's birthday is today, my sister's was yesterday. i hope everyone has a great week. may the LORD bless you in a great way.

my mother gave my grandma a new Bible for mother's day. notice she is holding it in the picture. i thought that was very sweet and sentimental. she raised 2 daughters by the Bible, and our mothers raised us by the Bible. that really means a lot to me.

she is 81!

i can not believe i have not posted since sunday. we have been extremely busy. i worked monday and tuesday. we were both off together wednesday-friday together. we got some much needed rest and we got some things done around the house. we spent some time this week trying to get the pool open. i did some laundry, and went today to do a little mother's day shopping.i got my mother a hibicous plant and a garden flag for her yard. she is really going to love them both.
we had a birthday party tonight for my grandmaw. she is going to be 81 on sunday. she is excited about her birthday. i took my camera tonight, but did not take one picture, and i do not know why!!!! i was talking to some of my family members, and i guess i just forgot. anyway, i am going to take some this weekend. tommorrow, we are having a cookout at my mother-in -law's.
i want to wish all of you mother's a happy mother's day. there are several of my friends who are mothers, and i wish yall a great day with your children, and i hope your day is bright and happy!!

youth meeting

this is the choir on friday night. they did a great job. they sang with the power of GOD all over them. they were such a blessing, and a help to set the tone for meeting. bro. joe arthur got up and preached on friday night about the ROSE OF SHARON. it was so good, and i will always remember it every time i see a rose from now on... after the service on friday night, we all went to the fellowship hall for a meal. we arrived back in the hotel around 11:40 pm. we all crashed. it was so good to go to sleep. saturday was such a great meeting also. bro. millford biddle got up and preached on some things we need to change, and some we don't. it really spoke to my heart. we heard several other preachers. they were all great. we left tn around 3:00 pm. we arrived home this am around 1:30 am. we all were exausted this morning in church, but the LORD blessed, and we saw several families come forward today. the preacher didn't even get to preach both services today. we had several testimonies of how GOD blessed, and the teens were very excited.i was thinking about a lady the other day. the LORD laid her and her family on my heart. this morning, they all were in church. that was a blessing to me. i am really overwhelmed right now, and the LORD gave me several blessings this weekend. he allowed me and my husband to be in on great meetings where we saw the LORD work in great ways. and we got help together, not to meantion to be in on some great fellowship with some wonderful people from our church.i thank HIM for that.

well, we left the church around 500 pm. we got a late start, due to bro. rj's baby, ashlyn. she had to go to the dr. she was very sick. we arrived in knoxville tn, last night around 900 pm. we stopped and had a picnic before we got to knoxville. we stayed in downtown knoxville. it was a HUGE place, and lots of things were going on. our hotel was right across from the convention center. this am we got up to eat breakfast.this picture is of the sunsphere.it is a historical landmark in knoxville.it is a signiture icon left from the1982 World's fair. you can go up to the top to have dinner, or just to sightsee.

on the bus this morning

we traveled to murfreesboro, tn. , today. we arrived around 3 pm. we will be attending the first service tonight. we are looking forward to a great meeting. pray for the meeting.
