weekend is here

i am so glad the weekend is here!!! we have had a real busy week. yesterday, we were able to go eat lunch and enjoy the nice warm weather , but i hated to have to go back to work...... but it was not that bad. we have a youth service planned tonight at a neighboring church. we are looking forward to that. it seems cloudy and a WHOLE LOT cooler here compared to yesterday. oh well, we will just have to make the best of it!!!! hope yall have a great weekend!!!

easter weekend

we had a great easter holiday. we enjoyed saturday at a nearby lake. we spent some time on the lake and we enjoyed a meal at a nice restaurant and we went to a park. we had a blast. we went to a new shopping center. it was really cool.

on easter sunday, we always have an easter parade at church. this is a tradition for us.

we had a great easter service and a great meal, after church.we had cubed steak/gravy, baked potato, salad, and my mother made homemade biscuits!!!! yum, also,we had peanut butter pie,butterfinger cake, rice krispie treats, and pecan pie for dessert. we had a blast, and it was very nice to be with the family...

my mother, sisters, and nephews and i went to lunch today and went to a nearby mall. we had a great time. also, i made sure we went to roses, lol!!! i posted some more easter pictures on a slideshow. they are in the sidebar to the right. check them out.. hope yall have a great night!!

pizza for me

sorry,people, i have been real busy this week. i have been working and trying to get some things done around the house. between work, and loading the dishwasher, and/or the laundry, i have not had a lot of time to blog..... i am ready for tommorrow...
tonight, my hubby met me for supper. i told him, pizza would be a great choice, if he wanted. so, pizza it was.....and wings, gotta have wings, very good results, and great pizza, and nice time with my sweetie.
easter is coming, we always have a great service every easter. at my church, we have a easter parade. this is when all the children come up on the platform, and show off their outfits. AND... any other person that wants to show off their outfits.......it is fun!!!

roses,yea!!!

today, i visited a ''new'' store that has recently opened up in a nearby town. it was roses. i used to go to roses as a child.we would go and shop there for hours. this was when wal-mart was not really popular yet.... anyway, i saw some neat things, and i will definately be going back, soon.
i stopped to get some lunch before retuurning home. we had a good st. patrick's day. we went to eat at bronco's before going to get some groceries.
i hear our easter sunday is going to be cool..... i wished it were warmer, but that is usually the way it is when easter is in march.
i hope everyone is having great week and is looking forward toa great holiday weekend.remember, HE IS ALIVE!!!!!!

stormy saturday

today, it has been real rainy and stormy!!! we had tons of rain today here. i went out at lunch time, just before it came a huge downpour. we had a pretty good day today. i ate dinner with the guys tonight. we had my brother in law's birthday supper last night. he has finally made it over the hill. my whole family came, and we enjoyed a nice supper at a local italian restaurant. it was very good.... happy birthday danny, we love ya, and sorry about the limo.... have a great night, and sleep tight!!!!!

GONE FISHIN!!!

WE WANTED TO GET OUT AND ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL WEATHER TODAY. WE VISITED A NEARBY FARM AND SPENT THE DAY FISHING. WE HAD LOTS OF GOOD BITES, BUT I AM SAD TO SAY, WE DID NOT CATCH A FISH TODAY. THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL. WE ALWAYS COME HOME WITH SOMETHING.... BUT I ONLY BROUGHT HOME SOME PICTURES TODAY OF THE FARM, COWS, AND THE PONDS.

sunshine!!!

we have been experiencing some pre-spring temperatures. it has been great.i am very glad tommorrow is hump day!!! i caught this beautiful sunset last night. it was gorgeous!!! i have this thing for sunrises and sunsets, they really amaze me, and it really shows just how beautiful the LORD made these things for us to enjoy!!!! sweet dreams and sunny days to ya!!!!!!

cheese fries, yum

tonight, my husband met me at outback for supper. whew, you might say, but it is monday! i know , but we usually always share when we go to eat. we love their cheese fries!!!! they were so yum!!!! we shared chicken on the barbie, we were not hungry enough for two entrees. i am about to pop, right now..lol!!!!
anyway, yesterday, was a great day at church. we had two great services... i am getting sleepy, and i need to get my clothes dried for work in the am. hope everyone had a great weekend, and is enjoying these spring like temperatures... have a blessed evening!!!!!

super saturday

today was a windy day, and kind of cool. we had the day off. chris went to an appointment early this morning. i dropped him off ,and i went to some of my favorite stores in town. i was going to cvs to get something, but they did not have what i wanted.after picking chris up from his appointment, we ''blew'' in to bojangles for breakfast. we went to walmart to pick up a few things we would need for the week, when i saw someone i knew. i told him it really was not me , he just thought it was, lol... the reason why i say this is because i got straight up this am, threw on some clothes, brushed my hair, and out the door we went. i was without makeup, and really did not feel quite ready for anyone to see me that knew me... lol... so anyway, bro. wayne, the next time you see me i will try to look better, and sorry you had to see me this way!!!

tonight, my grandma,mother, sisters, and i were invited to a fundraiser at my aunt's church. it was a parade of tables. we had lots of fun. our table was in a ''let's play ball'' theme. everything at our table had something to do with baseball. all of my cousins plus my nephew play baseball so they decided to do a baseball theme.

we had baseball diamonds as placemats,baseball handpainted plates,napkin rings, that were actually baseball bracelets,napkins that had baseball bats and balls on them,baseball cards for placecards, and our favors were big league chew bubble gum, peanuts, and sunflower seeds. we had ranch chicken, green beans, hash brown casserole, slaw, bread, and our choice of desserts. it was a very good meal and a nice time of fun and fellowship.
it was a great time for our family to get together. we always like being all together. back row is lorieann, granmaw, angie, mother, and me.. front row is my cousin, amy, aunt diana, and my cousin , pam. we enjoyed parading the tables and we had some great singing, also, some funny entertainment by the ''do right'' family. i have a video of them, and i will try to download it this week.they always show up at any of their events... hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

just another rainy day

it is pouring down rain here today. another day to be lazy and cuddle on the couch with a good book, or watch some good movies, and fix some good, comfort food. if you don't live in the south, and not know what comfort food is, i will tell you. it is food that you have or have had as a child, that when you or your family had it, it always made you ''feel''good. it may be a old family recipe or just something you like on certain occassions, anyway, it is sometimes something ''warm''. so, today we will probably be having some good comfort food for lunch, lol!!!! i just might fix some more taco chili beans. they sure were good last week.
we are enjoying some time off together this weekend, i am ready for that, and hopefuuly this rain will pass, and we willl have a sunny saturday!!!!!

till the storm passes by

today and yesterday's weather was definately different. it has been stormy, cloudy, dreary, and pouring down rain all day. they called 2 weather warnings today at work. they were both tornado warnings. i was praying that we would all be safe till the storm passed. it was lightening real bad.
tonight, i was driving home, and those big trucks just fly by you and you can't see anything. i am just glad to be home safe with my hubby!!!!! i am very glad we got some much needed rain, but i don't like to travel in it!!
i hope everyone is doing great in bloggerland and is staying well. my family is feeling better. sweet dreams!!

pretty day!

today, the weather was great. it was 72 degrees at my house today. it reminded me that spring is just around the corner!! i can not wait, because i love warm weather. i get to spend more time outside and lounge around the pool!! we had a great weekend. we concluded our revival on saturday night, with a big youth night!!! there were tons of teens from different churches in our area, and we had a wonderful service. i got to see some friends that i have not seen in awhile. it was great to see holly, katie, and wade and lisa!!! thank yall so much for coming, and it was so good to see yall!!!
we had a good service yesterday. some of my family has been sick with flu-like symptoms. i hope and pray i do not get it. i got to sleep this morning and i got up and went to the grocery store. i loved the warm weather!!! hope ya have a blessed evening!!!!!
