tuesday tales

today is tuesday. we have been really busy at work this week. i had someone new today, that i trained for a new position. she was real sweet. i am really tired. it was really warm today. it felt like a spring day... tonight, chris met me for a nice mexican meal. we enjoyed it, i was so hungry. i am going to watch a favorite tv program.... i wish you a nice, restful, evening with your family!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTOPHER!!!

TODAY, WE SPENT THE MORNING JUST SLEEPING IN AND BEING LAZY. AFTER A BOJANGLES BREAKFAST, WE HIT TWO OF MY FAVORITE HOMETOWN STORES. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT FIND ANY THING, I STILL ENJOYED LOOKING.WE CAME HOME AND WATCHED MOVIES, THIS AFTERNOON.

WE CELEBRATED CHRIS' BIRTHDAY TONIGHT WITH A TRIP TO A STEAKHOUSE WITH MY FAMILY. WE HAD A GREAT MEAL WITH LOTS OF GREAT BELLY LAUGHS INCLUDED, LOL!!! YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE!!! WE HAD FUN BEING TOGETHER.

HELLO AND HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!! I HOPE YOU HAVE HAD A GREAT WEEK, AND EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY IS DOING WELL. I HAVE BEEN BUSY AT HOME TODAY, AND CATCHING UP ON MY REST. I HAVE BEEN SO TIRED. I SLEPT LATE THIS MORNING, AND STAYED IN MY PJ'S THE WHOLE DAY. MY HUSBAND WAS OFF, BUT HE WENT TO WORK ON A TRUCK AT THE F.D. THIS MORNING. HE CAME HOME THIS AFTERNOON, AND WE WENT AND ATE RIBS TONIGHT. WE CAME HOME, SO WE COULD JUST SPEND SOME TIME AT HOME AND BE COZY ON THE COUCH,LOL!!! I AM READY TO GO TO SLEEP. THE WEEKEND IS GOING TO BE BUSY. WE ARE CELEBRATING CHRIS' BIRTHDAY ON SATURDAY. I HOPE YA HAVE A GREAT SATURDAY!!

very busy and cold

hi everyone , i have been extremly busy with work this week!!! i have not had the time to do much blogging. we have had a tough week. it was my husband's birthday yesterday. he turned 18 x2,lol,lol. i am feeling better, just coughing my head off, and to make matters worse, our furnace went bad on us. so, we are going to have get a new heat/ac furnace. that is terrible, i know, but they don't last forever!!!!i have been cold, but we have gas logs, and a portable heater, so, it will do until we get it fixed.just be thankful, it is not summer yet, right!!! we are going to have a busy weekend. we willl be celebrating chris' birthday sometime saturday, not really sure what we are doing yet... well, i will go, and get some much needed rest. i am ready for a break... blessings, always!!!!

A WINTER WONDERLAND

HEY YALL, DID YALL WAKE UP TO THE WINTER WONDERLAND THAT I DID?? LOLLOL!!! I AM SO DISSAPOINTED, I GUESS THE LORD HAD OTHER PLANS DIDN'T HE?? I WAS REALLY WANTING TO SEE A GOOD 3-5 INCHES. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO NICE.OH WELL, WE DID GET SOME MUCH NEEDED RAIN OUT OF ALL OF THIS. CHRIS CAME HOME THIS MORNING WAKING ME UP, WANTING ME TO HURRY AND GET UP TO GO GRAB A FEW THINGS BEFORE THE BIG SNOW. WE GOT STUFF TO PREPARE FOR SUPPER, JUST IN CASE WE DID GET STUCK. WE JUST STAYED AT HOME ALL DAY, AND I GOT CAUGHT UP ON MY LAUNDRY, WHILE CHRIS CLEANED SOME FOR ME. HE BLEACHED THE BATHROOM FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, AND WASHED ALL OF THE CABINETS DOWN FOR ME. I HAVE BEEN BATTLING THIS URI, SO IT IS ALMOST IMMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE AROUND ALL OF THIS CLEANING STUFF. THANKS HONEY FOR HELPING ME SO MUCH, WITH THE CLEANING, AND FOR HELPING ME CLEAN. I AM NOW ''HIGH'' FROM BLEACH!!!!! I PREPARED HOMEMADE SPAGHETTI AND FRESH GARLIC BREAD FOR SUPPER. WE WENT THIS AM TO EAT BREAKFAST. I ATE COUNTRY HAM. WE ALSO SAW BRO. LAUGHFLIN. HE WAS EATING BREAKFAST.WELL, GOT TO GO AND PUT MY CLEAN SHEETS ON THE BED SO WE CAN JUMP IN!!

TGIF

THANKGOD IT IS FRIDAY,WE ARE NOW EXPECTING OUR 2ND STORM, WINTER STORM, THAT IS!!! THEY ARE SAYING 1-3 INCHES OF SNOW, AND MAYBE MORE.. I HAVE BEEN RESTING AT HOME TODAY, JUST CATCHING UP ON MY SLEEP... I HAVE BEEN DOCTORING SOME CONJESTION AND UPPER RESPORITORY PROBLEMS. SO, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO STAY WARM AND OUT OF THE COLD WEATHER. I WENT TO EAT WITH THE GUYS TONIGHT. WE GRILLED STEAKS ON THE GRILL, ALONG WITH THE NICE SIDES. IT WAS GREAT!! THANKS FOR THE GREAT MEAL. WELL.TIME TO GO AND GET PREPARED FOR THIS ''HUDE SNOW STORM'', WE ARE GOING TO GET!!! TTYL

I HOPE WE DON'T GET A LOT, I WISH IT WOULD BE A GOOD SNOW... JUST SNOW, AND NOTHING ELSE. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME, SINCE WE HAVE SEEN A BIG SNOW... MY NEPHEW , BEN, HAS NEVER SEEN A HUGE SNOW. SPEAKING OF BEN, TODAY IS HIS BIRTHDAY. HE IS 11 YEARS OLD,HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PACKEMSTACKEM !!
THAT IS HIS NICKNAME, THAT IS WHAT WE CALL HIM.
WE HAD A GREAT NIGHT AT SIGMA TONIGHT. WE HAD A LESSON ESPECIALLY FOR THE GIRLS. IT WAS INTERESTING.... I AM SO TIRED, AND WE HAVE BEEN SO BUSY AROUND HERE, AND IT HAS BEEN SO COLD. I WISH IT WOULD SNOW, SO WE COULD MAKE SNOW CREAM!!! YUM, YUM.. LOL!!! HAVE A GREAT NIGHT AND STAY SAFE ON THE ROADS!!!

we had a great weekend!! my cousin, melanie, got married on saturday. she is my double second cousin. we have always been good cuz's and friends. i am very proud for her and her new husband,johnathan. they have really done well for themselves, and also the LORD has really blessed them. the wedding was beautiful and i was really glad to see some of my family that i had not seen in awhile.

this is one the greatest friends i have ever had!!! her name is gina, and this is her boyfriend, jody. she is also my cousin. we have had some of the best times together, and she has always been there, even my partner in crime,lollol!! we have had MANY laughs, and a WHOLE LOT of tears, but she has always been the same gina through it all. love ya cuz, xoxo!! she hopefully will be the next bride in our family!!!

after the wedding, we had to meet the rest of the family for supper. we love to go to ''THE WOODSHED'', this is a great place, a great steak... very, very, good!! my family loves to eat there. we had a blast, and i just about got sick from laughing so much!!! thanks scott , for a great meal!!!xoxoxo, you're the greatest!!!

we had a great service today. i had to sing a song i never had sang before with the quartet. we also sang two more songs. one song we sang was ''even in the valley", and i was standing there singing i was just overwhelmed of how good GOD really is. whatever we go through, He is still good, and he proves HE is everyday. we wonder if He is really going to bring us through our problem, and then we think, well, He knew the outcome of our problem all along. i was listening to my ipod, while on vacation last week, and had to really control myself from singing, (which i did not like), but chris said i kept getting looks, but i really did not care. i was listening to a song that talks about being not what you are, or what you are going to be, and that GOD only sees the blood, when HE looks at me, and it says the sinner is perfect, even though you cannot see, being glad you are forgiven.i guess youu really just had to hear, but you know sometimes, you hear a song over and over, but sometimes never really LISTEN to the words.... i was so blessed.sorry, that was a rabbit trail, but i was just really blessed by it.... lol!!! how could any person sit on a beach,and watch the waves come in and out, see the neverending sea, and all of the bright sunshine, and all of those grains of sand, and all the beautiful sights and sounds of nature around, and still say THERE IS NO GOD!!!!!! i cannot believe anybody would say such a thing. anyway, the LORD IS GOOD!!!, and is in control, no matter what we are facing. please pray for some specific needs in our church.... we have some friends that are going through some trials right now.... we are praying for them, and wish the best and the LORD'S willl for ALL of them.. have a blessed night!!!

a shower or two

last night, we went to a couple of little quaint shops after a nice seafood dinner. we saw that it was getting really foggy, you could barely see the tops of all of the hotels. we stopped for a sweet treat, an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate!!! yum!! it then started pouring down rain. it came a good shower and rained some during the night.it was cool this am for the first time. i am now tired and sleepy. we have a busy weekend ahead. my cousin is getting married tommorrow. we are really happy for them. i have posted some pics of our trip on the sidebar to the right. have a great weekend!!!

presidential debate

hello, and welcome to my site today, we are having a blast!! this am we went for breakfast at a place we always visit while @ the beach. we usually eat there for dinner, but we decided to try their breakfast today.it is called sea captain's house. very, very, good!!tomorrow, is the republican presidential debate here. in honor of that, some sandartists from st. louis called ''sandtastic'' is making a mt. rushmore style sand sculpture of the republican nominees. it was really cool to see, and also to watch all these people stop to take pics in awe of what they are looking at. yes, i was one of those people!! this is history!!

we had a nice afternoon on the beach. it was a little more windy today, chris went fishing this afternoon!! i lounged around the pool and sauna just reading and listening to my ipod.

we had a nice supper at a good mexican restaurant, and we went to broadway at the beach to do a little shopping. we had a great evening, just surfing the web, and watching tv.

beautiful weather

good day everyone. we are having great and i mean great weather. it is 75 degrees right now. this morning chris and i went for a walk on the beach.we collected some beautiful shells while on our walk. i liked them because they were not broken, complete. ..and very distinct.

the colors are very pretty. i love black, and notice the black on the edges of some of them. i thought that was very unusual. i loved the brown and beige ones also. the markings and designs on them are so pretty.... and to think the LORD created all of these beautiful things!!!

we had a nice dinner at a steakhouse we have never been to before. it was great, but i am now miserable from eating too much. we went shopping for awhile, and came back to the hotel. i ear candled my ears. it was time. i am now going to bed. hadios, amigos!!!

new years vacation

hello people, hope ya are doing just great. i am. chris and i both had some time off this week, and we had planned to do some other things, but we ended up visiting aunt myrtle this week.if you dont know who aunt myrtle is dont worry about it. anyway, it was going to be cloudy and real rainy and cool this week in the mountains, and we checked the beach forcast and it was going to be average 75 degrees everyday. it was a whopping 74 today!!!!! awesome... for january!!!we arrived about 1pm today. we just lounged around and went to the pool and lazy river. we went to dinner at damons. i had ribs, of course!! we had a great time.

busy weekend

HELLO EVERYONE AND I HOPE YOUR NEW YEAR HAS GOTTEN OFF TO A GREAT START. I HAVE HAD A BUSY WEEKEND. YESTERDAY, WE HAD THE DAY OFF TOGETHER, SO WE WERE''LAZY'' THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY. WE DIDN'T DO MUCH, JUST KIND OF HUNG OUT AT HOME, AND RELAXING BY THE FIRE. WE WENT FOR A LATE LUNCH-SUPPER AT WILD WINGS. CHRIS AND I BOTH WERE IN THE MOOD FOR WINGS. WE SHOPPED AROUND, AND STOPPED FOR LEMON POUND CAKE AND A CARAMEL MACCHIOTO FROM STARBUCKS. THAT'S A LITTLE BIT OF ''HEAVEN ON EARTH'' FOR US.!!! I HAVE LOVED STARBUCKS SINCE THEY FIRST CAME OUT. IT JUST REALLY MAKES ME MAD THAT I DIDN'T THINK OF IT. LOLOLOL!!!

WE HAD THE ANNUAL PARKER FAMILY NEW YEAR GATHERING TONIGHT. THIS IS WHEN THE WHOLE FAMILY GETS TOGETHER.

THIS IS THE NEWEST MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY, DALTON. HE REPRESENTED A FIFTH GENERATION TONIGHT.

THESE ARE ALL MY AUNTS AND UNCLES THAT ARE STILL LIVING. L TO R :AUNT BETTY,UNCLE PERRIN,UNCLE CHARLES,AUNT LEILA, UNCLE BATE,UNCLE BOB,UNCLE JUNIOR, AND MY DADDY!!!! THERE ARE TWO BROTHERS THAT HAVE PASSED AWAY. THEY ARE UNCLE BILL, AND UNCLE JAKE.

WE HAD A GREAT MEAL AND A GOOD TIME OF FELLOWSHIP. NEXT WEEK, WE WILL BE ON A NEW YEARS VACATION. WE BOTH HAD SOME TIME OFF , SO WE ARE GOING TO GET AWAY FOR THE WEEK!!!!! HAVE A NICE SUNDAY!!!

COLLARD GREEENS, BLACKEYED PEAS, HOG JOWL, CORNBREAD.ETC.... NOT MY FAVORITE OF MEALS... SO I GUESS I AM OUT OF LUCK, AND ALL THE MONEY THIS YEAR... LOLLOLOLOL!!!
WE CELEBRATED NEW YEARS EVE LAST NIGHT AT CHRIS' WORK. WE HAD DINNER TOGETHER AND SPENT SOME TIME TOGETHER ,AND WITH THE OTHER GUYS, BEFORE THEY HAD A CALL, AND I HAD TO GET HOME ANYWAY, BECAUSE I HAD TO WORK TODAY, WE HAD A BLAST, AND IT WAS GREAT TO SEE ALL OUR BUDDIES.
I REALLY DON'T HAVE A PARTICULAR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION, JUST A FEW THINGS I PLAN TO DO, AND WORK ON THIS NEW YEAR.
CHRIS AND I PLAN TO FINISH A PROJECT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON FOR A WHILE. I HOPE IF YOU HAVE ANY RESOLUTIONS, YOU WILL SUCCEED AT THEM.
