cancer FREE !!

 WELL..all I can say is GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYER..and HE is so good!!!! just in case you have NOT heard.. my sister got a clear report from her scan.. NO more Cancer.. cancer free!!

Her birthday was sunday, and we had a surprise birthday/ cancer free party for  her saturday. She was REALLY SURPRISED!!! Here she is holding a shirt I had made for her!!!

 we had a spaghetti casserole dinner with salad, and bread, and a beautiful cake for dessert. the fellowship building was all decorated with teal and pink tablecloths, pink and white flowers, and banners of praise hung around the walls. ALL GLORY GOES TO THE LORD!!!

I never did doubt that God was going to bring Angie through all of this.. I KNEW He was going to take care of her, either way. A lot has happened over the past few months, and I have to say that I have learned that it is so good to know that Jesus is with us EVERY STEP oF the way. To trust Him more, but really to FULLY TRUST Him in ALL things. He hears and answers prayer, and I think, STILL is working in some of our family's lives through all of this. It shows us that HE makes NO mistakes, and has  a purpose for EVERYTHING.. I am so grateful for all the Lord has done.I am really excited for the future. I want to thank everyone for their love and support shown to our family during this time, but mainly for the PRAYERS.. God heard the prayers and answered and to Him, we are FOREVER grateful!!

GOD still answers prayer,

Back to Work

I ask today that you pray for my sister.  She returned to work today after being out since November.  I ask that you specifically pray for her feet. She has been having severe pain and numbness and tingling all from the chemo.
She goes for her scan on April 24th.  This will determine if the chemotherapy has worked and they will go from there as to deciding what is next. The Lord is able and has been so good thus far and has helped her and us, her family get through this. We know the prayers from our family,  friends,  and Church family is
what has helped. WE CAN FEEL THEM.

Heal me,  O Lord, and I shall be healed;  save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.  Jeremiah 17:14

So thankful for the time that we have got to spend together these past few months. We have had some fun times,and  would not have got to do these things if she would have been at work.  So thankful today for what He has done and what He. Is going to do!!! Love ya Sis!!! My hero. . Lady full of God's grace!!!! ♡♡♡

Praying for Healing

We had a great and Blessed Easter.  It was a fun time with family and a wonderful Easter service at Church both Sunday morning and night.  The Lord blessed and it was wonderful to know that He is still alive on Monday morning! 
We took lots of pics. I will share those in another post. 

April 24th is drawing near.This is when Angie goes for her full scan to see if the chemotherapy has worked. This will reveal if there are any cells remaining.
Our family is much in prayer.  We really believe and trust God for healing. The Lord sees and knows ALL things and is ABLE to heal her, according to His will.That is what our family wants is the Lord's will. The Lord has been so good to our family already through all of this. We are so overwhelmed of the stories we have heard from other cancer patients and the support that has been shown through our extended family and our very best friends.  The Lord gives peace, and we know as a family,  we can make it with His help.
Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd;  I shall not want.
I love this verse,  simply because He gives the promise of providing.  He has provided for her and her family through all of this,and WILL continue to do so. He has kept her in His care.Even on her worst days, they could have been much worse.
Psalm 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leader me beside the still waters.
In this verse, He gives rest and peace, a peace knowing that either way, it is going to be fine. Chemotherapy is complete and now we can rest and trust for His providing of Healing.

Exodus 15:26 ...... for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
He's able, He's able, I know HE'S able! I know my Lord is able to carry me through. He heals the broken hearted, and sets the captives free, He made the lame to walk again,  and He caused the blind to see, He's able, He's able! I know HE'S able! ! I know my Lord is able to carry me through! !
Trusting and praying for the promise of Healing today and also praying for a dear cousin is going through chemotherapy treatments for a new diagnosis of Cancer too.
The good Shepherd is able to heal His sheep.Join our family and Church family as we pray for these needs.

Spring into CAMPING

SPRING IS HERE.. YES, IT IS., IN FULL FORCE!!


TIME TO  spring into camping!!!

the trees are so beautiful, budding out and all, and the flowers too, and the pretty, green grass, but that pollen... it is not so pretty!! it has had me tore up!!, and that devilish purple stuff from the trees hanging..... wisteria... wisteria... it just sounds bad.. it does not like me at all.. but that;s ok.. the feeling is MUTUAL!!!!!!

i have been to the doctor twice in the past week. i have a double ear infection.. i have been on 2 different meds, and they are/have been making me real sick!!! I am feeling a lot better. we had our annual kick off to spring and the camping season this past weekend. we ended up at one of our favorite destinations.we love to go to this place. it is not too far away. we took the camper and the boat. it is so fun fishing with my sweetie!! he gets all excited for me when i catch fish!! and that makes me happy. we had a great time. it was a little cool it rained on thursday night, but we had so much fun, camping, fishing, and eating yummy food, reading, hanging some new organizing things inside the camper. we had some company on friday night. we had my niece and her fiance for a steak dinner.. we had a great time chillaxing with them and started talking about the planning of the wedding soon.. i can't wait for this wedding. it is gonna be so pretty.. it makes me so happy to know she is finally happy!!!

Breakfast Skillet

Every now and then, I see something on tv, advertising a certain product, this time it was the  ''simply potatoes''.. I get ideas that start spinning in my head..'' I would like to try that with this,''... I start thinking of different things to add or take away to make it my own. A few weeks ago, I had some time off and it was during the big snow..haha    the big snow that was gone by the next day!!! It sure was pretty while it lasted!!  I experimented in the kitchen a little.. I tried a new breakfast skillet.. I really liked it, and so did hubby. I served it with a side of bacon, but already have a new version for the next one...( haha) and I ate mine with a side of salsa..it gave it a great added taste..

HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS!

 1 bag of shredded hashbrowns

1 bag of sharp shredded cheddar cheese

6 eggs or 6 egg beaters (either one)

oil for the skillet

 heat enough oil to coat the skillet, add the potatoes.. (I added almost the whole bag).. let cook for about 6-8 minutes.. then flip in sections, and cook the other side for 6-8 minutes.

 after the second side is done, beat the 6 eggs, and pour on top of potatoes.

 let the eggs cook, add salt and pepper to taste at this time.

 when the eggs start to pull away from the side of the pan, scatter the cheese.

 this is when I like to see it get all melted and yummy looking!!!

 

 this is the final product!!!! It was so good.. next time I would like to add monterey jack cheese, diced ham, or the real bacon pieces, sauteed onion, and peppers.. mmmmm! It kind of reminds me of Waffle House scattered, covered, smothered.. you know!!! I also think this would be great when you have breakfast for supper, we love to do that !!!!

then it was time to go play in the pretty snow before it all melted !!!!!

Being TOGETHER

WINTER BLAHS...... yes, I have them..

It seems as if this winter is lasting forever.. we have had some crazy winter weather lately, with a mixture of a little snow, a pinch of sleet, and a good bit of ice for our area. When this happens, our area really goes bizzerk.. we don't know how to make it.. I know the yankees laugh at us, because it is really nothing to them, but alot to us. I am ready for warmer weather.. We have a lot of fun things planned, and some home improvements too all ready to do when warmer weather comes!!!!!!!! Bring it, SPRING!!!!

I had to spend the night at my work on monday night.. that was very interesting to say the least. we had a pretty fun time though.. after I got to sleep finally, it really was not too bad. But I must say , after Tuesday was over with, I was ready to be HOME, TOGETHER with my hubby.  Last week was my birthday. Hubby told me to get ready, he had a special place reserved for our supper. We traveled to Charlotte for the evening. We had a delicious meal at Ruth's Chris steakhouse. It was very good, and the sweet potato casserole was awesome too.. We were both off for Valentine's Day, and had made plans a while back to attend a play. It was a very fun and moving play. The Gospel was presented in a great and unique way. We finished it up with a yummy bbq supper at one of hubby's favorite places, and did a little shopping... We had so much fun just being together..

Family time is important, and being with your friends too is important. We love to get together to celebrate birthdays, or just to hang out to catch up on what's been going on!! I look forward to doing that tonight!!!! We have a youth activity planned saturday.. it is going to be really fun, looking forward to that.
Next week, my sis has another chemo treatment.. Please continue to pray as she goes through with it. I just hope she does not get sick.. The last treatment was so good, it was almost as if she never had one!!! Praise the Lord!! We are so ready for all of them to be over.. We are ready to get away for some TOGETHER time as a FAMILY.!!!    Have fun being TOGETHER with your loved ones, and *LIVE EVERY SECOND*.

january is already gone!!! can you believe it?? it was a fun month but also a busy one too. getting over the holidays, putting up the holiday decor.. it seems like it is a time to get organized more... i have found a few new things that i am experimenting with.. i am loving them and have learned that making changes for the better is not always bad... and i do not adapt with change well at all..
some things are already behind us this year!! and boy, am i glad!!! i have learned so much over the past few months and i am thrilled with results that i am seeing!!i think my family as a whole is beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel..!!!!!! only a few more treatments for my sis, and we hope all of this chemo stuff is gone bye bye!! she had such a good week last week. we were able to do a little shopping, eat a good meal, ( and let me say she cleaned her plate).. and get pedicures together!!!!!!!!! just whatever makes her feel good and special.. that works for me.. she is pressing on!!

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

sometimes, we seek God as to where He is when things arise. one thing I have to remind myself of is.. HE IS NOT IN HIDING.. He is there ALL the time.. just wanting us and waiting for us. that's why it is important to seek Him in ALL things!!sometimes, when certain things happen, it is so easy to question God.. Why?? how?? where now?? what if?? And we also wonder why He does things in such a way that we do not understand.. then I am reminded..''His ways.. not MY ways.'' I think this can be an opportunity for GROWTH and MATURITY!!!!!!! He can use things that we do not understand, to teach us and show us to PRESS ON for Him.This is our high calling for Him. In the long run, it can be that the Lord puts on display for Him.. for the Lord to show EVERYONE His goodness and mercy..

Over the past few months, I have learned a lot. I have had to do what the Bible says about ''forgetting those things'' I have learned that sometimes God says no.. but teaches us to PRESS ON.. I have learned that it can be hard to see a future view of things..only God knows the future and what it holds.. we just have to PRESS ON for Him.. We can find the strength to press on through Him.. by prayer, reading, and depending on the promise of HIM NEVER FAILING US, when it seems like there is no one else to really understand our true feelings!!

Things and THOUGHTS can posess us IF WE LET THEM.. Sometimes, this can lead to bitter thoughts... be honest with yourself.. you know you have been there!! Bitterness can and WILL destroy you IF you let it!!! I really feel we will be judged for things we let posess us.. and this is NOT ALWAYS material things!! just sayin!!If I dwell on WHY certain things happen, it can  control my actions.. actions I may have towards other people, places , or things !!!! lol.. you get it??!!i am PRESSING ON!! When these things happen, when we deal with those things, it can and will make us more in harmony with Him, and let us PRESS ON and depend on Him like never before!!

My heart is pressing on today!!
